Rifine
Rifine is a decorative and timeless lime plaster that offers great versatility. Its refined lime finish can be used to achieve either a matt, serene look or a glossy finish inspired by tadelakt, thanks to a range of finishing options.
Textures
Thanks to its various finish options, Rifine offers both a clean, uniform look and a decorative touch with subtle color variations, all with a matt, mineral-like finish. The final appearance depends on the craftsman’s skill. As mineral finishes are applied by hand and depend on the substrate, technique and lighting, we always recommend having a sample produced in advance in order to properly assess the desired end result. The images provide a representative idea of the possible textures, but are for illustrative purposes only.
For application, you will need Rifine powder (supplied in 16 kg bags) and suitable Stoopen & Meeus powder pigments. To ensure the system is applied correctly, you will also need StucPrimer and a suitable finishing coat (Uniwall 1KPU varnish or Uniwall wax). In terms of tools, you will need a mechanical mixer (mixing bowl), clean mixing water and a Venetian or Japanese trowel.
Rifine is a refined decorative plaster for walls and ceilings, with a mineral (lime-based) composition. The product comes in the form of a fine white powder and is highly alkaline. When mixed with water and powdered mineral pigments, it forms a flexible, breathable lime paste that can be used to create seamless, velvety or high-gloss finishes (such as tadelakt). The product hardens slowly through natural carbonation, thanks to the CO₂ present in the air.
If protection against stains, dirt or fingerprints is required, the lime plaster must be coated with Uniwall 1KPU varnish or Uniwall wax.
Always carry out representative tests beforehand.
Rifine can be applied to virtually any stable and durable substrate, provided that a coat of StucPrimer is applied first.
To achieve the best result, expertise is essential.
