Zablon
A mineral-based plaster for walls and ceilings that combines the characteristic cloudy appearance of lime with subtle textures. Its matt, lime-like finish blends naturally with all interior styles. Zablon strikes a balance between the ultra-smooth finish of Stuc and the more robust appearance of Crustal.
Textures
A unique grainy texture by Stoopen & Meeus that creates a tangible sense of depth. The surface combines a natural look with a distinctive character. The final appearance depends on the craftsman’s skill. As mineral finishes are applied by hand and vary depending on the substrate, the technique used and the lighting, we always recommend having a sample produced in advance to properly assess the desired end result. The images provide a representative idea of the possible textures, but are for illustrative purposes only.
To apply Zablon, you will need Zablon powder (available in 16 kg bags) and Stoopen & Meeus powdered pigments. To complete the system, you will also need StucPrimer and Uniwall 1KPU varnish as a final protective coat. As for tools, you will need a mechanical mixer (mixing tub), clean mixing water and a Venetian trowel.
Zablon is a high-end decorative, strongly alkaline mineral-based (lime-based) render. The product is supplied as a white powder; it is coloured on site using powdered mineral pigments, then mixed with water. Thanks to the breathable and water-vapour-permeable properties of this lime-based composition, it helps to create a healthier indoor climate and then hardens completely through natural carbonation.
Zablon can be protected against stains and soiling caused by contact using Uniwall 1KPU varnish. This clear varnish provides effective basic protection for decorative interior walls.
Always carry out representative tests beforehand.
Zablon is intended exclusively for indoor use on walls and ceilings. As it is a lime-based mineral render, it can be applied to virtually any stable, non-warping and sufficiently strong substrate, provided the surface has been properly prepared beforehand with StucPrimer.
To achieve the best possible result, professional expertise is essential.
