The founders
In 1894, Edmond Stoopen and Paul Meeus laid the foundations in Antwerp for a global legacy in colour. What began as a local factory soon grew into an international pioneer in the field of exports. Our early, legendary ‘Dragon’ pigments stood out thanks to strictly guarded formulas and an unrivalled depth of colour that was highly sought after worldwide.
From history to the future
Today, a new generation, led by Sebastiaan Monsieurs & Roots Partners, is passionately carrying on this family tradition. With a personal and committed approach, we are continuing to build on our historic heritage. We are ready for the next 100 years, in which we will seamlessly combine traditional craftsmanship with forward-looking innovation.
